After breakfast made by our cook, you leave the village, heading to Usambara Mountain (around 1 ½ – 2 ½ hour drive). As you get to Usambara Mountain, you will go to the campsite near the mountain, where our cook will prepare you a nice hot lunch. After lunch, you can visit the nearby waterfalls, as well as go on a bird walk. Return to campsite in the afternoon, for dinner and overnight. Around Usambara Mountain you can, if you’re lucky enough, see the endemic Naduk eagle owl, the Usambara Akalat (Usambara Robin-chat), and the Usambara weaver.
