Clarity before the adventure. Before we head out on safari together, there’s one quick (but important) stop: our Terms & Conditions. No legal jungle here – just clear, fair and readable rules. They explain what we promise, what happens if plans change, and how we handle the unexpected. Take a quick look, then let’s get going. And if anything’s unclear – just reach out. We’ve got your back.

§1 Tour Operator and Partner Companies

In certain cases – especially domestic flights, ferry connections, transfers, accommodations or tours – Jackpot Tours & Safaris Ltd. acts solely as an intermediary. In such cases, the contract is concluded directly between the customer and the respective third-party provider.

Jackpot Tours & Safaris Ltd. accepts no liability for the fulfilment or quality of third-party services, unless gross negligence or intent on the part of Jackpot Tours & Safaris Ltd. can be proven.

§2 Services and Insurance

The tour price includes only the services explicitly listed in the booking confirmation. Any services not expressly mentioned are not part of the contract.

Travel insurance (e.g. trip cancellation, trip interruption, or international health insurance) is not included in the tour price and must be arranged independently by the customer. Jackpot Tours & Safaris Ltd. does not offer or broker any insurance products.

§3 Payment Terms

A down payment of 50% of the total tour price is required to confirm the booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 15 days before the start of the trip, without the need for further request. For short-term bookings (less than 15 days before arrival), the full amount is due immediately.

All payments must be made in US Dollars or Euros, unless otherwise agreed.

§4 Unforeseeable Events and Itinerary Changes

Travel procedures in Tanzania may be affected by external circumstances (e.g. weather conditions, road conditions, official regulations). In such cases, Jackpot Tours & Safaris Ltd. reserves the right to reasonably adjust the travel itinerary or provide equivalent alternative services. There is no entitlement to a specific execution or refund, provided that the overall value and character of the trip are not significantly affected.

§5 Changes to Accommodation

If the originally booked accommodation is unavailable, Jackpot Tours & Safaris Ltd. reserves the right to substitute it with an equivalent alternative. Customers will be informed of any changes as soon as possible. There is no entitlement to a specific hotel or lodge.

§6 Cancellation by the Customer

The customer may cancel the booking at any time before the start of the trip. The effective date is the date on which the written cancellation notice is received by Jackpot Tours & Safaris Ltd. The following cancellation fees apply:

Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 30 days of receiving the written cancellation. We strongly recommend taking out trip cancellation insurance in your home country.

§7 Entry Requirements

The customer is solely responsible for complying with all applicable entry, passport and visa requirements. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry. A visa can be obtained upon arrival at a Tanzanian international airport or in advance from a Tanzanian embassy in the customer’s home country. Visa costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Since entry regulations can change at short notice, we strongly recommend checking with the relevant embassy in advance.

§8 Health and Vaccinations

The customer is solely responsible for their health preparation related to the trip. We strongly recommend consulting a travel or tropical medicine specialist in advance – especially regarding malaria prevention, standard vaccinations, and travel-specific immunisations.

Please note that proof of a valid yellow fever vaccination may be required for entry into Tanzania if the traveller has previously visited certain countries. The official entry requirements of the Tanzanian Ministry of Health and the WHO apply.

§9 Severability Clause

If any provision of these General Terms and Conditions is or becomes wholly or partially invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a legally permissible clause that comes as close as possible to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.

§10 Place of Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed exclusively by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising in connection with these Terms or the booked trip is Arusha, Tanzania, unless mandatory legal provisions in the customer’s country of residence provide otherwise.

If you have any questions or require clarification regarding these terms, please do not hesitate to contact us.
