Day-by-Day Journey

Day 1 – Arusha: Arrival & Acclimatisation

Your guide awaits you at the airport – a warm welcome to East Africa. After the drive to your lodge, you’re invited to slow down, sip your welcome drink, and ease into the rhythm of the land.

• Drive: Kilimanjaro International Airport (1 hr) or Arusha Domestic Airport (15 min)

Day 2 – Tarangire: Where Giants Roam

The first light brings movement. You head south to Tarangire National Park – a land of elephant trails, ancient baobabs and rustling savannah. The golden afternoon belongs to the animals – and to you.

• Drive: Arusha → Tarangire (approx. 2 hrs), game drive inside park
• Park: Tarangire National Park
• Highlight: Game drive & picnic lunch under acacias
• Lodge: Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp, full board

Day 3 – Serengeti: The Great Open

Today, you leave the tarmac behind. The road becomes a ribbon of dust and promise as you climb the Rift Valley, pass the Ngorongoro Highlands, and enter the wide breath of the Serengeti National Park.

• Drive: Tarangire → Serengeti via Ngorongoro (approx. 6 hrs, with picnic & game drive)
• Park: Serengeti National Park
• Highlight: Game drive en route to camp
• Lodge: Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp, full board

Day 4 – Serengeti: One Day, Infinite Stories

You rise with the sun and spend the day in the bush – following tracks, reading the wind, listening to the quiet language of the wild. Every bend may hold a surprise.

• Drive: Full-day safari in Serengeti
• Park: Serengeti National Park
• Highlight: Full-day game drive with picnic in the plains
• Lodge: Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp, full board

Day 5 – Ngorongoro: Into the Earth’s Heart

At dawn, you begin your return – but not without one final wonder. The Ngorongoro Crater awaits: a vast caldera echoing with the sounds of lion, rhino and hyena. After lunch in the crater, you drive back to Arusha.

• Drive: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha (approx. 9 hrs incl. game drive)
• Park: Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Crater
• Highlight: 6-hour crater safari & picnic lunch on the crater floor
• Lodge: Optional extension or transfer to airport
